We are ‘C-19 Cafe’ trading as ‘Long Covid Cuppa’. We are a constituted community group run by people with Long Covid living in Central Scotland.

The purpose of our website is to help our members and the general public interact with our community group.
The purpose of the Long Covid Cuppa Group is to help our community to live better with Long Covid, CFS/ME, other post viral conditions or any other long term debilitating condition.
We are Data Controllers responsible for the care of the information you share with us. For our Newsletter contacts, we contract another company (MailerLite) to process your data on our behalf, this company is fully compliant with GDPR.
Your data
You may choose to provide us with personal information for the purposes of us communicating with you either by email or by using the “Message Us” contact form or Newsletter Form on this website. The legal basis for us holding your data is by your consent only.
The “Message Us” contact form contains your Name and your email address which will be used to identify and communicate with you, and any textual message making up your enquiry, which will direct our response to you. We will treat all textual information provided as special / sensitive.
Information provided to us by email or using the “Message Us” contact form will be stored only until we have completely responded to your enquiry. You may ask us to change or delete this information at any time.
If you provide us with your email address using our Newsletter Form, we store your email in a third party email management system (MailerLite) which is private, secure, reliable and fully GDPR compliant. We will remove your email address on request. Your email address will only be used to send you news or information about our group or Long Covid, notifications of meetings, provide updates on activities and sessions, to ask your opinion on subjects relating to our group or Long Covid or to obtain input on our plans and proposals.
Media
We always obtain permission before uploading peoples image on the pictures displayed on our web site. If we have inadvertently uploaded an image of you without your permission, or if you wish your image removed for whatever reason, please let us know and we will remove the image within 30 days of receiving your request.
Cookies
This web site uses cookies that are essential for you to use and move around this web site and to collect analytic information on the use of this web site. Our cookies contain no personal information and cannot be used to identify you.
Who we share your data with
We do not share your data with any other organisation, except as described elsewhere in this document for the technical purpose of retaining your data securely. We will never sell your data, and we will inform you promptly should we become aware that anyone outside our organisation has accessed your data.
How long we retain your data
If you give us your data so that we can communicate with you, we will retain your data only until we have completed responding to your contact request, or until you ask us to delete your information, or we decide that you are no longer participating in our community or the Long Covid Cuppa organisation is being wound up. If we have deleted your data inadvertently you should simply provide your data again.
What rights you have over your data
If you have given us your data, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we correct or erase any personal data we hold about you. We will respond to data requests within 30 days.
Where your data is sent
Email and “Message US” contact form data are managed confidentially and securely by selected group members. Newsletter email addresses are managed by a reputable, GDPR compliant third party email marketing company.
